All mantels are made from scratch to fit your fireplace!
The most prominent features of the Canonbury Fireplace Mantel are the Ionic Scamozzi Capitals on display at the top of thick tapered columns. First used during the Italian Renaissance period of the 16th century, these Scamozzi capitals are composed of 4 diagonal volutes atop a continuous circle of elaborate egg-and-dart moulding.
Perhaps the most pleasing aesthetic of the Canonbury Mantel is the attractive balance and spaciousness throughout the design. A decorative etched moulding runs along bottom edge of the crown moulding as well as the bottom edge of the header. Our Canonbury Mantel is an embodiment of the lavish architecture from the days of Roman antiquity.
